Points - Points will be awarded based on consistency and technicality. A basic trick gets 1 point, technical tricks receive 2 points.
Judges - There will be 3 judges at each contest. Each judge will have their own tally sheet to keep their own score.
Runs - Skaters will receive 1 run of 1 minute. For each division, the top 6 finishers of the first run will get a second run. (Note: There will be no second run in the 7 & Under Division)
Bonus - Both runs will include "bonus points", and they will be averaged to get the total points for the skater. The skater with the most points wins the contest.
Ties - Ties will be broken by a "bonus point" total. If there is a tie on bonus points, the skater will have a 1 minute "skate-off" with winners being decided by the judges based on number of tricks, technicality of tricks and style.
Series Points - Series points will be awarded at each contest and are based solely upon contest results. 1st place will receive 6 points, 2nd place will receive 5 points, 3rd place 4 points, and so on. Every participant will receive 1 point for participating per contest, regardless of the outcome of the contest. At the last contest of the series, the total series points will be calculated to award an overall MONSTER SKATE SERIES CHAMPION for each division.
Best Trick Contest - *New contest to MONSTER SKATE SERIES*. $5 entry fee, there will be a 50/50 pot shared with winner and accompanying skate park. Contest is held at each parks landmark. Open to anyone that participated in skate contest, participants will be given 3 attempts at their best trick. Winner will be chosen by the judges.
